Isaiah 48:17

This is what the Lord says-your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you shoud go."

Mercy and Grace

YES, mercy and grace are necessary if my sign will point the unsaved, the lost, the sick, or even other believers to Christ.  For a long time, I heard the words and used the words, yet had no true understanding of them.   Recently, they have become real words with real meaning and I can now connect them to many, many specific times in my life when I received them.  I can truly say that I have received what I did not deserve and that I did not receive what I have deserved.

I know that Christ has given me the salvation which I did nothing to earn also, I know that I will never receive the wrath of God that I do deserve.  This alone is beyond all I could ask or imagine,  but God is so good that he continues to show me mercy and grace in a day to day basis.

Now, what I am freely given, I must give freely.  I need to pray that the Lord would add this to me as an expression of His love for me.  I pray that those who the Lord brings into my life may see mercy and grace in me so that I may have the opportunity to tell them of the awesome mercy and grace of God.

Ephesians 2:4-5
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have bee saved."

I need to think of it in this way:

Rose, because of his great love for you, God, who does not give you what you deserve, made you alive in Christ even when you were dead in transgressions - it is by receiving what you do not deserve that you have been saved.

Thank you Lord!!!
