Isaiah 48:17

This is what the Lord says-your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you shoud go."

Mercy and Grace

YES, mercy and grace are necessary if my sign will point the unsaved, the lost, the sick, or even other believers to Christ.  For a long time, I heard the words and used the words, yet had no true understanding of them.   Recently, they have become real words with real meaning and I can now connect them to many, many specific times in my life when I received them.  I can truly say that I have received what I did not deserve and that I did not receive what I have deserved.

I know that Christ has given me the salvation which I did nothing to earn also, I know that I will never receive the wrath of God that I do deserve.  This alone is beyond all I could ask or imagine,  but God is so good that he continues to show me mercy and grace in a day to day basis.

Now, what I am freely given, I must give freely.  I need to pray that the Lord would add this to me as an expression of His love for me.  I pray that those who the Lord brings into my life may see mercy and grace in me so that I may have the opportunity to tell them of the awesome mercy and grace of God.

Ephesians 2:4-5
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have bee saved."

I need to think of it in this way:

Rose, because of his great love for you, God, who does not give you what you deserve, made you alive in Christ even when you were dead in transgressions - it is by receiving what you do not deserve that you have been saved.

Thank you Lord!!!

A servant of the King

I haven't had much time to write, but that is good.  I am serving the Lord with gladness.  I am loving my brothers and sisters in Christ.  I pray that even without speaking; it could be seen on my sign.  I am honored to be a servant of the King.  It brings me much joy!!!  I am delighted to be chosen by Him and can't thank him enough.  So, during this season of intense serving I must say that it can be tiresome and stressful, but above all things a priviledge and honor!!!

What is your road sign saying today???

Welcome to My Blog

Welcome!  Hope you enjoy this blog and that it brings glory to God.  What is it all about?  Well, I was thinking about how difficult it is to use words to tell people about Christ, when I began wondering what I would do if I couldn't use words to tell others about Gods love for us.  Suddenly, I was reminded that as Gods instruments we should always be directing others to Christ, even when we aren't using words.  This gave me a visual of myself as a road sign, but what was my destination?, where was I directing people?, was my sign clear?, and what is written on my road sign for the world to see?  An avalanche of scripture began tumbling around in my head and I knew that I had to start writing my ideas down, but where?  I prayed about it and prayed about it, til a friend began showing me some blogs she was following and it immediately became clear to me that I needed to put all these ideas on a blog.  So, here it is; or at least the start of it and I can't wait to see where the Lord directs us.  Sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the journey.
